From what I can gather on their website, the LS (low smoke) fuel has a high viscosity oil and the regular fuel has low viscosity oil. See here.

The castor/synthetic debate is one that will probably go on until the end of time. Myself, I use Cool Power 100% synthetic. Never had any trouble. Then there's the crowd that jumps up and down and...

I have always broken my YS engines in by running a tank of fuel on the ground to get things set right and then just flying them. I keep them rich for a dozen flights or so then set them where I want...
