Thankyou for clarifing my misunderstanding on the antenna wiring refering to the DX3.
And yes, you all make great points about different batteries and proper chargers.

Went to the LHS today to buy the DX7. I backed off on purchasing when I discovered that the chargers in all the boxes were 50 milliamp. The transmitter batt is 1500 mag and receiver batt is 1100 mag....
