RE: Parkflyers Edge 540T

I had the same experience. Cancel the order and buy yourself a much better plane, the PZ Typhoon.

RE: Parkflyers Edge 540T

Well, I'd say so. However, you could still see what people have to say about this plane. Be aware that it's not the easiest plane to fly. If you're a newbie you may want to get an experienced...

RE: Parkflyers Edge 540T

Dude, if you're not willing to listen to what people have to say then there's no point in posting any further questions ! You've already been told by people who have had the Edge 540T that in their...

RE: Parkflyers Edge 540T

Take it from a man who has bought both and who chose to eventually jump on the Edge because it was such a disappointment. There is little power stock (get it to hover !) when compared with the...

RE: Parkflyers Edge 540T

I'd not buy another one. The TX, servos and motors for mine have been of a low quality. People have been replacing the motor. Some people like it. You have to read the whole thread to get a...

RE: Parkflyers Edge 540T

If you go for an E-Flite Park 450 then it is designed for a continuous 14 amps and a peak (15 seconds maximum) of 18 amps.

RE: Parkflyers Edge 540T

I know who sells them here in the UK. I got one a week or two ago and I ordered another one today. £1.99 each plus £2.50 P & P and they are in stock. Gonna beg a little and then I'll tell you...

RE: Parkflyers Edge 540T

Flew it just now. The precision does seem better with the new servos. I've put on a new prop adapter. But, it feels pretty slow and lacking in power.

The LiPo was almost too hot to hold once...

RE: Parkflyers Edge 540T

I've put the original linkages back on and used some Ripmax nipple adapters ( :D ) instead of the stock clevises (one of them had the 'pin' break off) and the ailerons are now looking like they...

RE: Parkflyers Edge 540T

I've put a new aileron servo in as well along with new linkages that are the same thickness as the stock ones. However, a few pushes of the stick does NOT leave the ailerons neutral !! When I push...

RE: Parkflyers Edge 540T

I've put in the two tail servos now and used the Dubro mini-EZ connectors. Beware of the top deck needing to be trimmed out to allow for the extra height. Also, you'll not get perfect rudder...

RE: Parkflyers Edge 540T

Please will someone upload a photo of the tail servos and pushrods ? I took mine out a month ago and now I want to replace them with better ones they don't look too tidy.

Do the pushrods cross...

RE: Parkflyers Edge 540T

No. I've used a Futaba radio with my stock RX. Of course, your TX needs to work with the stock RX as well !

You would more than likely benefit from a computer TX as you can use rates and expo...

RE: Parkflyers Edge 540T

Thanks but the decals are the second problem. The first is the six hundred square metres of clear packing tape !!

RE: Parkflyers Edge 540T

Has anyone tried pulling the clear packing tape off of one of these ? I'd like to strip off the standard decals, rub it down and repaint it and wonder what taking the tape off will make the foam...

RE: Parkflyers Edge 540T

You can't really hoover with it as it's an aeroplane and not a vacuum cleaner :D Also, you'd be struggling to hover it as well for any length of time with the stock motor. Not bad though if you...

RE: Parkflyers Edge 540T

Thanks. My Futaba 6EXA meets those needs. I got it with my nitro trainer and I've already used it with the Edge for expo, etc.

RE: Parkflyers Edge 540T

I've just compared the stock ones with a new one of these http://www.sussex-model-centre.co.uk/shopexd.asp?id=5720 and I can see that they are at least twice as smooth as the stock ones. The stock...
