No, Windex DOES work like a mini Trim Solvent. It just gives you more time to work.

BUT... it is also used for sticky decals in the way Les described

Rather than spray the trim solvent (it's too expensive to waste), just dab a Q-Tip in it and swab the edges of the trim.

You can do the same with Acetone too.
