For what it's worth, I haven't covered a plane with MK for years, however, I am currently reviewing the new Top Flite P-40 and so far I am very impressed with how well the covering is shrinking when...

Being brittle has been one of my complaints about MK for many years. So this is not something recent.

IF you had a bad experience with UC in the past, you had a bad roll. What you just experienced is what I discovered 20 years ago. Ultracote rules.

I agree. I think the original MK formula had to be changed because it was doing harm to some laboratory rats or some such nonsense.

That said, I use both MK and UC. I prefer to work with UC, but...

I've been using UC for over 20 years now and never saw it peel like that.

I've only seen one brand of covering separate - and it wasn't Ultracote. Never seen UC do it.

You maybe just got a bad roll.
