RE: Aviation Models 33% Yak Build Thread

Scoubidou,

Is that a K&S cannister? And if so, which one? The inlet diameter on the ones I found weren't 30mm, which is what I thought the Super 80 needs.

Also, where are you putting...

RE: Aviation Models 33% Yak Build Thread

So...has anyone flown their plane with the new CF tubes yet? Would appreciate your thoughts.

RE: Aviation Models 33% Yak Build Thread

Thanks John, that makes sense.

I haven't measured the length of the wing tube---do you have that handy?

RE: Aviation Models 33% Yak Build Thread

Hi John:

I just went to one of those online conversion websites. It says that 319 mm is 12.6 inches. Isn't that a little short for the stab tube? I measured my original one, seems like it...

RE: Aviation Models 33% Yak Build Thread

Tell us about your cannister mount---unless I missed it in a previous post. Then could you point me to it?

Thanks

RE: Aviation Models 33% Yak Build Thread

I wonder if anybody watching this thread has any Decibel readings on their ZDZ-80's? I'm trying to decide whether to go with a cannister or the Supersonic muffler. I understand that some IMAC...

RE: Aviation Models 33% Yak Build Thread

Nice pics, and nice looking installation.

I notice that nobody seems to have any baffling around their engines---is this just because the radial-style cowl has so much airflow?

Thanks.

RE: Aviation Models 33% Yak Build Thread

Sorry to hear of the outcome, glad it has turned out OK. Congrats!

What engine and muffler combo are you using?

Thanks!

RE: Aviation Models 33% Yak Build Thread

Did you give up on the cannister due to the wait involved for the flange (for the Super 80)? Or did you determine that the cannister you have just doesn't have enough volume and a bigger one won't...

RE: Aviation Models 33% Yak Build Thread

I have a question....I have seen many times how we say to go for the maximum mechanical advantage, and maximum travel volume on our radios, so that we get the best resolution----so what are you left...

RE: Aviation Models 33% Yak Build Thread

JRJohn, I think having everything be right on the hinge line was so that the mechanical advantage was as great as possible, plus it makes it slightly easier to match throws with dual servos. I think...

RE: Aviation Models 33% Yak Build Thread

Travis---is your ZDZ the Super 80? If so, that flange is the problem that Neogenesis is having. Apparently it's a special order part. Not sure which cannister he has, but apparently the one...

RE: Aviation Models 33% Yak Build Thread

Are you running a muffler or cannister? There seems to be a problem with the Super 80 getting a header that will work, to line up with the cannister tunnel.

Could you get some sound data...

RE: Aviation Models 33% Yak Build Thread

Hey Broke Stab, I was wondering what size fuel tank to get----I assumed 24oz wouldn't run long enough, and I notice you had a 40 oz on your other plane with the zdz 80. Do you have an estimate of...
