I'm planning on doing the same thing except I have my powerplant already in my e-maxx for the time being until I can convert my 3.3 into electric. What are the parts I would need to convert to an...

RE: Revo motor mount troubles

The insulation on the wires traxxas uses is prone to breaking. Get some shrink tubing for the wire, layer it two thick. That should stop the it from being exposed.

RE: my t-maxx

Not bad. [sm=thumbs_up.gif]

I've always liked solid color or two toned paint jobs. Looks very clean that way.

RE: short run times with e maxx and 2s lipos

Agreed. Plus, how old are your lipos? How many cycles have they been through? Does one cell charge faster than the other on each/either battery?

RE: how should i take my tires off?

I've had the best luck baking them on a tinfoiled cookie sheet. Preheat the oven to 300f, turn the oven OFF and put the cookie sheet in the oven for 15 minutes. Use oven mitts or a cup towel to pull...

RE: tmaxx 2.5 ?

Stock mounts seat any .15 size engine. Most .18's will work as well. The TRX3.3 is made specifically to fit anything that you can drop a .15 into.

A .21 will fit with the right...

RE: OptiDrive and busted transmission?

Ouch! Yes it is malfunctioning. It should only shift when the transmission is at idle. This is a semi-common problem for the OptiDrive system. It lunches your transmission, which is exactly what it...

RE: EZ start motor problem,

Most likely the ez-start motor but it could be that your battery is shot. Do you have another 7.2v battery?

RE: t maxx Vs E maxx

Ah electric vs nitro. :D

Both have advantages and both have disadvantages.

Disadvantages-
Nitro:

Pain in the butt nitro engine break-in.

RE: New Truck

There's nothing wrong with plastic. Metal is for looking pretty. Aluminum bends easily, and hardened steel will transfer the impact elsewhere onto your truck. If you want sturdier plastic try nylon...

RE: is this hobby dying or is it just me

Dying? Absolutely not. Not even close. Less noise by newcomers? Ohhh, You betcha.

With popular companies like traxxas (which pop out RTR's faster than a welfare family pops out kids) making BL...

RE: Broken esc bullet connection.

We all have our moments. :) One bit of advice...if you think electric is difficult then you will absolutely despise nitro. ;)

RE: GO with RTR body or paint one?

One bit of advice, and this is just me....I ALWAYS warm the cans in hot tap water before I spray and when the instructions say shake for 60 seconds, they mean it. Oh and only use poly carbonate paint...

RE: T-maxx clone?

Actually, there is a lot of compatibility between the two. I got one second hand (the snap-on version) years ago and surprisingly it was not a bad little knockoff. The magic wheel as far as I can...

RE: Now many converted from nitro to electric

Myself I don't see the sense in critiquing one or the other. Both nitro and electric are great mediums for similar and different reasons alike. They can both be made to be very fast. Both are durable...
