I was at a splash-in in October and saw a heli on floats, there was very little by way of rotor downwash.

I built mine about 3-4 months ago with the help of Rays DVDs and RCU (ofcourse).
Flies great, now into fast forward flight and just started doing autos this week.

Yup, you use a 6v battery and connect it to a 5.1v regulator. The good bit is that if you loose a cell in you battery the voltage drops to 4.8v. Your electronics will still run at 4.8v and so you...

I think (but not totally sure) that Futuba can handle 6v, while JR need to run at 4.8v. That is from a far and distant memory so if anyone has more up to date info, please correct me.
