This is my intent.....
I want to spray clear gelcoat in a female mold, let it cure for 18-24 hours, spray another coat with glitterflake added, let it cure for 18-24 hours, spray final pigmented...

I want to build an airboat hull useing a clear polyester gelcoat. what kind of problem might I run into doing my layup with epoxy resin?
the reason for clear gelcoat is that I want a glitterflake...

If the water is too hot, it will deform your canopy, also keep your canopy intact, do not trim before dying in hot water or the edges may roll up.

I think I can bring it in between 10 and 11 lbs. by putting lightening holes thruoghout the fuse without sacrificing
structural integrity. perhaps???

Just need to be careful with CG

Well I've done some approximate calculations, based on 3D FOAMY'S Pitts scaled up 200%

Profile fuse, including rudder cord = 61"

Top wing with semetrical airfoil = 69 1/2"

bottom wing...

I still need to install motor and electronics, I''m also considering landing gear.
I''ve seen bamboo skewers used, but not sure of the installation process.

OPM's ultimate would be great if I could scale it up to around 72"

I'm going to try to build my airboat as true to scale as possible, therefore I intend to glass in hardwood stringers in the bottom of the hull.
On full scale airboats, the engine stand and rigging...
