The only real requirement in a charger for EF1 is that it'll recharge your battery pack in the length of time between your last heat and your next one. Since EF1 is usually run along side of other...

Don,

I sent you a PM with some information you may, or may not, find useful. I tend to agree with Cowboy - the MotionRC Warbirds are more fun to race. For beginners I'd use the PZ T-34's. ...

RE: NEW H9 P51 Mustang 60 ARF

Sigh... Wished I'd known about the crappy hinge pins before I epoxied them into place... guess I missed others mentioning this in the thread.

Other than the rudder flying off the maiden went...

RE: RCAero JC Engines & YDA Engines

Any thoughts on spinning a MAS 15x10 prop with the 20cc motor? I have a 16x6 XOAR on it now but I'm a little underwhelmed with the flight speed. The motor is on the nose of a P-51 and it felt like...

RE: NEW H9 P51 Mustang 60 ARF

Anyone else have any issues with the included Hangar 9 pin hinges? I finally maidened mine today and the pin hinges on the Rudder decided to snap in flight. The "ground crew" saw where the part...

RE: kyosho Kelly F-1

Hmmm... Next time my wheel pants go through my wing I may give this a try. I've got a spare Kelly NIB so if I screw up the wing doing it there's always plan B - Build new wing :)

RE: Aerovate Engines

Thanks guys. I ordered a set from PSP directly as TBM seems to be out of them. Hopefully that doesn't mean that PSP is out as well...

RE: Aerovate Engines

Does anyone sell a premade Throttle Arm for the 20cc motors? I've tried the servo arm modification but I've got one of the carbs which has the choke/throttle lock arrangement and I mine works best...

RE: NEW H9 P51 Mustang 60 ARF

Guys I'm putting mine together over the next few days and have come across a few parts which don't seem to be mentioned in the assembly manual. One is a thin plywood motor/engine template. I imagine...

RE: Aerovate Engines

Thanks for the photos. I might be misunderstanding the engine starting process (am new to combustion engines - flying a 100% electric fleet at the moment)... Isn't it hard to change the choke...

RE: Aerovate Engines

Being new to Gas engines I'd be curious to see how you routed the choke rod so you can access it with the cowl on... any chance of getting a photo? I am giving some consideration to using a servo...

RE: NEW H9 P51 Mustang 60 ARF

@Pit-Viper: I'll keep the 15cc in mind if the 26cc won't fit without surgery. Looking at the motor mount I'm a little worried about it withstanding the vibration as is and removing lots of material...

RE: NEW H9 P51 Mustang 60 ARF

I'm hoping to install the RCGF 26cc motor but I don't have the plane yet - still on Lay-away. I eyeballed the spacing but am not 100% certain that the motor will fit under the cowl. If it does it's...

RE: RCGF Engines

Folks, I'm sure its been asked before but, without reading all 165 pages of this thread I'm not likely to find the answer...

What's a good break prop for a 26cc RCGF motor? What prop would you...

RE: kyosho Kelly F-1

I'll take a few shots of the wing and upload them before I repair it. It was the front of the wheel pant which got caught on the asphalt and caused the tail of the wheel pant to be driven backwards...

RE: kyosho Kelly F-1

Ugh.... I managed to "stub a toe" on landing this evening... One of those one landing isn't good enough so we're going to have to do two bouncy landings... When it was settling in the second time I...

RE: NEW H9 P51 Mustang 60 ARF

For those more familiar with building gas/glow planes anyone have any thoughts on whether an Aerovate 26cc Gas motor will fit under the cowl?

RE: kyosho Kelly F-1

Indeed, very good temperature on the motor! The Turnigy motor I'm using has a slightly hotter wind (580kv vs. 515kv on your Scorpion 4026-10 motor) so I've been reluctant to try anything higher than...

RE: kyosho Kelly F-1

Very nice! I'm glad to see that it's not just mine that wants to land at 60mph :) How's your motor do as far as heat? Mine comes down pretty hot but it looks like you've opened more air flow on...

RE: kyosho Kelly F-1

You might want to do a little  bit of glass work but epoxy or gorilla glue will likely suffice.  I had a battery tray come loose in a Hyperion P-51 with a fiberglass fuselage and gorilla glue really...
