RE: Detergent as shock oil?

Please cite your sources if you did not come up with the information yourself. For anyone who wants more information on viscosity then visit http://auto.howstuffworks.com/question164.htm. In which he...

RE: Electric vs Nitro Revisited

Okay I have gotten to the point to where I have no choice, but to correct some common misconceptions. First off, brushless motors are not new technology at all, except to you guys in this hobby. In...

RE: rc pulling

The transmissions are 43:1 so that is more than enough gearing which is why the 1:1 is the gear ratio of the differential. It may be too much with 43:1 transmissions since speed is critical to a...

RE: rc pulling

I would like to run in the outlaw class. I have 8, 550 size Johnson 3E3732 motors that I am dying to have a use for. I found a nice transmission setup at RC4WD that can take two motors. So it would...

RE: rc pulling

That is just a picture I made that could be possible if I had good fabrication skills. I have four motors that are smaller than 775's, but bigger than 550's. I just can't fabricate with my hands very...

RE: rc pulling

You should do some kind of setup using E-maxx motor mounts, with four Mabuchi RS-775 motors to look something like this:

RE: Nitro Rock Crawlers Only

Reiko, I sent a message, but I think it did not go through. Anyways I'll cover all the costs of shipping. I have no way to accept online payment and anyways you spent a lot of money already.

RE: Nitro Rock Crawlers Only

Under heavy loading it could dish out 12 amps if it does not stall the nitro engine. Keep in mind this is no toy motor. It develops 290 OZ-IN of torque at stall drawing 24 amps so Reiko would most...

RE: Nitro Rock Crawlers Only

I have a 24 volt motor that you might consider as a generator. It develops 24 volts at 3600 RPM. The shaft is 1/4" D type. It's got some weight to it though.

Here is what it looks like:

Something that I want to try

What do all of you think will happen if I took my Mabuchi RS-775WC motor and connected its shaft to a clutch shaft from a .28 Nitro engine and let my motor get up to speed then I let the l .28 Nitro...

RE: Is it possible to have a fast(er) rock crawler????

I am sorry, but you are wrong, letting a permanent magnet brushed motor run at full speed is not the same as running a nitro engine at full speed. A motor develops its power BASED ON LOAD and NOT...

RE: Remedies for 'VAPOR LOCK'......?

I have a way of getting your motor out of vapor lock, but it would destroy either the shaft or the connecting rod with 520 OZ-IN of torque if the piston did not move LOL.

Now to being...

RE: can i use this esc with a 55 turn integy motor

Not picking on you, but you have to be careful with that statement. Example is I have 3 Johnson 700 motors which use thick windings and their turns are lower than 55. Yet the torque is much higher...

RE: AB Mods X-Dyno graphs and vid inside

Those two pieces of information are not very important for me in drag racing. I only worry about those when running circle track races or road course races. I was just curious though since no one...

RE: AB Mods X-Dyno graphs and vid inside

Just wondering if your dyno will work with DC permanent magnet motors? I have a Johnson 700 series motor that I want to use in drag racing. I am using 24 volts and that sucker is mad fast when...

RE: Aqcuired a new motor!!

You should give it a try. This motor has precise speed control and the cogging is very low. I opened up my motor and the armature has the iron laminates skewed. The wire is small like maybe 24 gauge...

Aqcuired a new motor!!

I have acquired a godly, torquey, motor made by Pitmann. This beast does not require much current to develop tons of torque!! Its current at stall with 24 volts applied is only 17 Amperes which is...

RE: Help with coupling and type of clutch bell

It's for a little test that I always wanted to do. I want to see what happens when I turn on my electric motor turning clockwise at 24 volts against a .32 Axial nitro engine turning counter-clockwise...

RE: Nitro Rock Crawlers Only

Usually a servo should never be in situation where it demands high amounts of current for any extended length of time. If so then the servo was not properly chosen for the application. Besides those...

RE: Nitro Rock Crawlers Only

You know this roll back issue with nitro is not an issue. If you think about it then you will realize that the servo controlling the throttle of the nitro engine's carb can also be used to control a...

RE: Brushless versus Nitro ??

I would like to add that a brushless motor used in R/C vehicles are 3-phase permanent magnet synchronous motors. The first electric motor which was a brushed DC motor was invented somewhere around...
