Building a Comet Cloudbuster with my daughter: Any advice?

Going to introduce my 5 year old daughter to the world of balsa kit building with this model. It's special to me as my dad built the same airplane for me when I was about the same age, 37 years ago....

Thanks for the heads up, interestingly enough one of the ailerons needs to be reattached. I may give them a good "pull test" and might even pin all the existing hinges after what you said.

Will do Jim, those Perry carbs work really well. My dad had a bunch of K&B engines with perry carbs and pumps. They all ran extremely well.

Well I thought this was a Super Kaos but after reading the Kaos thread I'm not sure now. This plane was built by Lew McFarland, most likely in the 70's. Has plenty of hanger rash and beauty marks...

All these radio lockouts and bad transmitter pot problems are just nuts. What has happened with radio manufacturers these days? I had a few lockouts with Spektrum, sold everything and fly Futaba....
