Need Some set-up Help

I want to switch my AX10 set-up to running the battery over the front axle. Will I need to run saddle packs for this, if I use the AX10 Conversion plate. Any help would be great.....

I am running a OS .18 CVR it has Rotary carb. With this motor I had to cut some off the shaft to fit the clutch bell on will I need to do the same thing.
