I'm using the factory-supplied LiIon (2000mA) pack... it is not LiPo.
The DX9 is correctly set for the LiIon pack.
It's now more than 36 hrs on charge and the blue LED is still on.

RE: Bad Jitter On 6V (Futaba R138DP)

Alan, thank you very much for your thoughtful response!

Yes, there is still jitter after the surface charge on the 5-cell pack has diminished. Using my variable power supply (& Fluke meter), I...

Bad Jitter On 6V (Futaba R138DP)

I have a problem that suddenly appeared this week...
My receiver is glitching/jittering badly when powered with a 6V flight pack but doesn't jitter on 4.8V. I have tested this with multiple battery...

RE: Fliton Extra 330 Freestyle Who's Got One?

This is one FANTASTIC airplane!
I maiden'd my Fliton Extra back in November 2006 and have flown it almost every single weekend since then... literally hundreds of flights. I've never had a crash or...

RE: Pilot-RC 26% Extra 260 - Who's got one???

I have been searching all over... Where are all of these 10,000 posts ?!?!?

In general I have heard good things about Pilot-RC stuff. I do realize that ANY plane can be broken during shipping...

Pilot-RC 26% Extra 260 - Who's got one???

I am considering Pilot-RC's 26% Extra for my next plane... I'd like to power it with a Syssa 180HP.
I have been looking all over for a review or build-thread but there doesn't seem to be much...

RE: Fliton Extra 330 Freestyle Who's Got One?

Hi Mark,
As others have suggested, it is probably a better idea to upgrade your control horns rather than use the weak aluminum ones.

However, if you really want the stock ones, you can have...

RE: Fliton Extra 330 Freestyle Who's Got One?

The canopy turned out to be easier than expected. I just screwed it in place around the perimiter with #2x7/16 servo screws from RTL Fasteners. Along the front edge (where's there is no room to fit a...

RE: Fliton Extra 330 Freestyle Who's Got One?

My throttle is set-up linear and will stay that way. All the control surfaces will be set to expo' rates before the next flight.
I am using a 14x4 APC turning at 10,600 (max revs was 10,900 and I...

RE: Fliton Extra 330 Freestyle Who's Got One?

I just got back from the field... the maiden flight went perfectly. The Extra trimmed out nicely and flies GREAT! It was a real show stopper with the other pilots too, most had never seen a Fliton...

RE: Fliton Extra 330 Freestyle Who's Got One?

Whew, I finally finished the Extra last night... I wouldn't call this a difficult build, but it certainly was time consuming considering this is an ARF.
My all-up (dry) weight came in at 6lbs 13oz...

RE: Fliton Extra 330 Freestyle Who's Got One?

RVM-
With your fuel tank in that location it will block access to the wing-bolts. Are you planning to remove the tank every time you assemble the plane? I agree that it's niice to have the tank at...

RE: Fliton Extra 330 Freestyle Who's Got One?

Thanx!
No, I haven't flown it yet. Hopefully I can get down to the field for a maiden flight this weekend.
I'm guessing the weight will come in at 6-1/2 lbs (plus 16oz of fuel)... ceretainly a...

RE: Fliton Extra 330 Freestyle Who's Got One?

I'm using a TruTurn 2-1/4" Ultimate Wide Blade.
Since you don't like the Ultimate style you could try their 2-1/2 Standard Wide Blade, but it will be a little big for your cowl.

RE: Fliton Extra 330 Freestyle Who's Got One?

Before I glued the horizontal stab in place I epoxied in a piece of 1/4 ply to the floor of the fuselage for the tailwheel mount to screw into. Also I made a new axle for the tailwheel from a piece...

RE: Fliton Extra 330 Freestyle Who's Got One?

I machined the belcranks from a piece of (6061) aluminum, the axle is a piece of 5/16" K&S brass (I made an aluminum one too but I don't trust it), the bushings are turned from ABS bar and I made...
