I'm actually quite amazed at how the front end is holding up, nothing broken yet. On the straight hard pack it motors, faster than what you see in the video. Problem is one little error in steering...

It is a little hard to tell how large it really is without some kind of reference. Here's a picture with the Polaris beside the 3PM radio and a tape measure out front. It is nearly 24" long.

Nice write-up ridgewalker. I got one of these recently and trying it stock with the 9 feet per second speed and 15 feet of radio range, this setup had to go.

Thanks to another RCU member PM'ing me, the problem was the transmitter needs to be in PPM mode not PCM. Clearly stated in Step 1, Attachment of the Module. [:@] RTFM I guess. [sm=72_72.gif]

TM-8 Module Error

I just got my TM-8 and R608FS receiver combo from Tower Hobbies today. :) I plugged the TM-8 into my 8U and all I get is the alternating green/red which indicates "Check RF condition nearby". What...

I beleive they call for extension wires because the servo wires do not normally reach to the end of the wing tubes. In my Something Extra, I did use extensions, but at the receiver end...

You do not need a y-harness. Normally 1 aileron goes on channel 1 while the other to either channel 6 or channel 7 depending on the mode you want to use.

When you were flying with the 14MZ at -12 deg C, you had no problems with the liquid dispaly? The touch functions and the visibilty with the backlight on worked okay?
