RE: Tips for stablizing your truck in the air

The jump was probably inconsistent, not the same angle at all points of a jump.

RE: Best .21 engine break in with-out a heat gun ? Recomindations?

Your spending money on a drag tuned engine but you are too cheap to buy a $10-$15 heat gun? If you preheat the engine for the first gallon you can easily extend the life of your Piston/Sleeve/Conrod...

RE: slash 4x4- changing shock oil

Move the shock up and down without having the piston get out of the oil (that will cause huge air bubbles) to get rid of all the air bubbles. If you can, let the shocks sit overnight but 10-20...

RE: $150 for a Losi 8ight 1.0 Roller

Too expensive, 1.0's are cheap and the chassis is worn. Also by the screws the guy used for his steering top plate I would assume he doesnt know much about the cars. There should be button head...

RE: SC10 4WD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It took Traxxas 2 years to design the Slash 4X4 after the original Slash released.

RE: SC10 4WD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't count one, thing of how many different molds AE wold have to make. They really dont have a platform designed for 1/10 4wd SC. They will have one eventually, but not within the next few...

RE: Operating new Track Need Insurance?

It's cheap, like $50 a year. But the downside is EVERYBODY who steps foot on the track has to have ROAR insurance ($30 a year). It is just way easier to get insurance frm a broker rather than ROAR...

RE: Operating new Track Need Insurance?

RE: Operating new Track Need Insurance?

Disclaimers don't work in the greedy hands of a sue-friendly lawyer.

$2million liability insurance, get it from a broker. Should be anywhere from $800-$1200 a year.

RE: I've got that RC itch...

Might want to go the 2wd route if they race SC trucks, as 2wd is alot more popular than 4wd just because they have been out longer and are cheaper. It will cost you alot more for a 4wd electric...

RE: My own NiMh battery observations....

Do you discharge the cells down to .9 volts each (5.4 total) then charge the battery?

RE: OFFICIAL 8IGHT 2.0 THREAD

+1, just alot of subtle changes make it a completely different buggy!

The arms are a different material, new front and rear hubs, new lighter shock towers with simpler mounting positions,...

RE: In your opinion what is the most bullet proof 4x4 out there?

The 4X4 PE wont hold a chance stock against the Ofna Hyper 10SC and the Jammin SCRT10. No comparison

RE: Traxxas E-Revo vs. 4WD SCT

Yes, but the Revo was the only MT to handle decent, but since ROAR dropepd the MT class and not alot of tracks race them, you really cant be competative with a Revo.

IMO the Jammin handles a...

RE: Traxxas E-Revo vs. 4WD SCT

The Ofna and Jammin SC's will handle alot better on the track, and they can be raced unlike the E Revo (no class to race in). Not to mention the E Revo's are more of a basher instead of a racer.

RE: i want front brakes...ideas?

It is more trouble than its worth. The rustler was designed for speed runs, nothing else. Your best bet would be to add bushings to the front of the car to give the front wheels some resistence when...

RE: New track

Yes, but an up to date vehicle will handle much better, be more durable, easier to drive and easier to work on. You can run 1-3 seconds faster a lap (with a good driver) from say a Hyper 7 and a Losi...

RE: New track

They might be the same size, but the Jammin will handle alot better than the HPI. Also, the Jamin X1 and even X2 are otudated, so if you want to be competative you should get some of the newer...

RE: New track

Better off with a Losi, Associated, Mugen, Xray, or Kyosho to keep up with the nitros. A Traxxas truck simply won't handle as well.

RE: zip ties on the head???

I have tried ziptues multiple times, from slightly losoe to really tight, and I use really heavy duty zipties. I think the part that deterioates them most is preheating the engine when you have the...

RE: zip ties on the head???

They dont work, when you preheat you engine and run it at 200-250 it deterioates the zip ties and breaks them. If you look at your car for hours straight you could do that, but there is NO difference...

RE: Your thoughts on these 4x4's

You can get the TEN-T anywhere from $450 to $410. I think Overdrive RC has it for $430.
