RE: ASP 180 fs

Yes it transitions great even though it is far from fully broken in. It have not quit once despite my attempt of doing so by lowering the idle so it just barely pops around and then whack the...

RE: ASP 180 fs

Edge. Why is it so hard for you to egnolige that also China can make good engines nowadays? Here`s plenty of respectable modellers in here that confirms that magnums are great working engines. You on...

RE: ASP 180 fs

I have no mesurements of the rate of consumption, but it doesn`t seem to drink very much at all. In fact when running my tuned 91 fx on the same teststand and on the same tank, the 91 fx emptied the...

RE: ASP 180 fs

I have had my engine open two times and the top of the piston is as shiny as an unrun engine. The key is to use a BLEND of castor AND synth. What it will look at the outside after a while doesn`t...

RE: ASP 180 fs

I just removed one headshim and adjusted the valves, then I matched the intake gasket to the intake, as the passage in the gasket was a little to narrow. I have also drilled the outlet in the muffler...

RE: ASP 180 fs

I got some more fuel through it today and ran a smaller prop for the rest of the break in. The Volk 17-6 turned 8800 rpm on 0% and 9100 rpm on 15% and the Volk 18-6 turned 8000 rpm on 0% and 8200 rpm...

RE: ASP 180 fs

RE: ASP 180 fs

Actually about 16 pounds of thrust is about what I expect to get on a fish scale, but that will be just enough on a 8 pound plane, don`t you think:) No I had no spinner big enough at hand and no...

RE: ASP 180 fs

I intended to use a Volk 17-6 for break in but the hub was to narrow to be secured by the prop nut because the threaded portion of the shaft was to short, if you know what I mean. Anyway I watched...
