there are no adapters for the front since it runs on ball bearings.

yes those are the adapters. then you could use any 2.2 wheel that has a hex for the rear and ball bearings for the front. i know traxxas and HPI both have a nice assortment of options.

nah, don't go stock! if you're gonna buy something you might as well customize, right? if you get the adapters (aluminum tamiya frog adapter or plastic HPI adapter) then you can get any 2.2 wheel...

as am i. i have to sell off my mg16 to fund the WW2. i nearly listed it last night. maybe this weekend. so perhaps in a month or so i'll be ready to start building. if not then, at some point.
