LB, i figured you'd have jumped in by now!

there are no adapters for the front since it runs on ball bearings.

yes those are the adapters. then you could use any 2.2 wheel that has a hex for the rear and ball bearings for the front. i know traxxas and HPI both have a nice assortment of options.

nah, don't go stock! if you're gonna buy something you might as well customize, right? if you get the adapters (aluminum tamiya frog adapter or plastic HPI adapter) then you can get any 2.2 wheel...

i am looking for some aluminum shocks that don't cost $30/pair. (ahem...tamiya) am i to understand the shocks are the same ones used on the twin detonator and all TA01, TA02, TA03, TA04 series?
