RE: need a corpse

I know where some 1/4 scale truck bodies are, if you are thinking about going that big. They are brand new lexan nascar truck bodies. I can get some pricing for you if you are interested.

RE: FG 1/5 scale drag car

Ingenious!
I figureed it was a bunch of odd ball parts but that shows a lot of imagination.
It looks great and I think its something I would want to build this year. I have acouple of engines...

Mr. Ogle,
The altered you built looks great, It appears to be the same chassis you run on your funny car? I looked over the web site and couldn't tell which body you used? As far as the engine is...

RE: FG 1/5 scale drag car

Well I went to the drag strip this weekend and they let me make quite a few runs. Thanks Paul. It took about 2 or 3 runs to get the 2 speed dialed in, by the end of the day the last two runs were...

RE: FG 6x6

As far as the rear gearing the three gears just make a idler gear, which is a sequence of 25/48/25 and both ring diffs. are 50's. I ran this truck at the X-games in the spud run and took 3rd. The...

RE: FG 1/5 scale drag car

Saw you gear ratio, it really helps me see how I want to gear my car, because my first gear is very simular to your original gearing, which spins the tires way to hard so you have to drive it off the...

RE: FG 1/5 scale drag car

Last time I ran the car I could tell it was geared for too much top end 20/42. So I regeared it to a 16/78, and now it jumps off the line. With the two speed should have about a 55mph top end.

RE: FG 1/5 scale drag car

After I ran the car I realized that I need to gear the car down. I located the parts from a WCM dealer and I've been trying to figure out the top speed of the car with the lower gear. A math wiz...

RE: FG 1/5 scale drag car

I spent the day Sunday at Mn. RC dragway. Just to see how it all worked they let me make a couple of runs with my car. It turned 3.4 at 41mph, and I think it needs some lower gearing yet.

RE: FG 1/5 scale drag car

Well, I never replied to this the first time around, but I guess I always liked the 80's style cars. The first time I went to the drag strip with my Dad was in a 65 Shelby Mustang that happened to be...

RE: FG 1/5 scale drag car

I'll try to get a good picture this weekend at the drag strip or at our practice track.

If it will go 3 seconds or quicker I would be amazed. I guess my F1 did do 3.5 at 37mph.
