RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD

I've never run Mashers, I like the look of the smaller sidewall on a 2.8 rather than the big sidewall for a 2.2 masher, personally. The Imex Bajas are great in my opinion, and aren't showing much...

RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD

I hear ya. I sold my Tx on Ebay, so that's always an option.

But then, I'd love to see a "kit" version of almost any RC, so I can build it myself, and save a few $$ on Tx/Rx, electronics that I...

RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD

The Baja 2.8s on my rims (also Imex, the eagles I think) are slightly bigger in diameter than the Talons. But not by much really. I don't think you'd have to adjust gearing for it or anything.

RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD

Love the Bajas. Would be willing to try the All Ts at some point. So far they've been wearing well (that is, they've held up well). I've run it a decent amount on 7 cells, Novak SS 5800 BL through...

RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD

How about Imex tires? They make a few rims and tires for 2.8 MTs, I'm running the Bajas (I've posted pics here before). Great 2.8 bashing tires, solid traction offroad.

I can link to them if...

RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD

fusebmx13 - nice job on lowering the body, by the way. The biggest trick I see there is being sure to cut your front posts so that they aren't taller or shorter than the rears when the body is on...

RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD

Point taken on the tires and what he's asking for....but compared to the Talons, the Imex tires will grip at least. They're not race tires, but they put the power down better IMO. :D I'll leave...

RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD

Actually, the Imex home page (which has the links to the pre-mounted tires/rims) is down. Hrm.

Well, here is what I actually ordered from Stormer (got 2 sets):

A pic of them on my Pede (posted several pages back in here, actually).

RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD

I agree. Stormer Hobbies sells pre-glued (w/foams) tires and 2.8 wheels for a good price. Don't think the do this with pins though...but I like what I have for bashing. I bought the first ones...

RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD

Stormer hobbies has 'em for a good price (pre-mounted, w/foams and all). Just be sure to get rears on all 4! Also, the product # for rears/fronts is different in Imex's site than on Stormer's site...

RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD

For any Pede Xl-5 (and later) fans looking for different tires, I've found some ones I like.

Our Pedes take a 2.8" wheel, which seems tricky to find MT tires for. I got some Imex 2.8 wheels...

RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD

I'm running a 6 cell sxs Elite 4000 in my TA05-R with a MM 5700 system, handles it great. Also running 7 cell Elite 4000 hump pack in my Stampede, with a Novak SS5800. Also does well. Got them...

RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD

Hmm, I saw these on Tower (RPM caster blocks). Think I'll go for them:

RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD

Yeah - my Pede is widened a bit, but not THAT much! LOL. I"ll decide between those tires then (Baja vs. All T). I'll choose one...

Another question for the group - any good recommendations on...

RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD

Yeah, I think I blew it. I bought some EMaxx (new style) rims/tires on eBay for a good deal, just got 'em. I have a 14mm clamp alum hex to run them, but not nearly enough offset. I tried to put on...

RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD

Another question for Pede owners - anyone run E/T Maxx rims/tires on their Stampede? I realize you'd need a 14mm hex adapter to drive them, but what sort of offset or other things do folks use to...

RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD

Ah, I did see those. So those LS II mounts will work? Sweet. Thanks, I appreciate it.

Point taken on drilling new/extra holes for the back mount. I've had my share of hard landings w/out...

RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD

Not a bad idea. Can you link me to the adjustable rusty (front, I assume) mounts? Otherwise, I'll dig on Tower. Moving the rear mounts down a peg should do it, nice idea. The front is what I was...

RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD

Anyone have a good solution yet to lower the body mount posts with minimal hassle? I'd still love to lower the body on my XL-5 Pede a bit. Nothing outrageous, but just to make it look better, sit a...

RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD

I have the same - have not yet had the issue you have, but I've heard of it. Maybe try different screws with washers or locking washers?
