Battery for the GP Fling

I noticed that Tower Hobbies recommends that you use a specially shape battery for the Fling. Would a normal 4.8V square NiCd work? Thanks

Some 3D planes are electric but most are glow or gas. esspesaily the big 1/4, 1/3 aircraft you see in compititions. Electric planes can now match the preformance of gas engines (even on the big guys)...

Yeah, go with a Sig cub. I've never build one, but I've head plenty. There grea kits. In my opinion Sig is the best of the big manufacurers.

I would leave the wing and servo set up as is. Even with the permanently mounted wing its pretty compact. As for mounting the servos in the rear fuse, I'd just leave them where they are. The controls...

I love mine, fly it for two years with a 40LA and it did great. I got a ST51 for it for Christmas. I took that as an oppreotunaty to to recover it with silkspan and dope. I can't wait to get it in...
