I have used Sullivan stainless steel cables for years ...from 3.5 OB's to gas OB's...soldered ball links to cable BUT feeling that

In answer to your question concerning the Allusion: Yes. I added angled pads giving the running surface 7 degrees...this should help especially in turns.
