RE: I don't know how to plumb a gasser tank

I have never put barbs on the outside. The tubing is almost impossible to get off when I re-plumb. Probably because most of it on the brass tubing never sees gas inside or out. But I do double zip...

RE: I don't know how to plumb a gasser tank

Some times there's only room for one zip tie. Are you using the tiny ones? On the carb I can get two on.

Man it was weird to see the title of this thread..and that I started it. Very good info...

RE: I don't know how to plumb a gasser tank

Nope, and it's not a stupid question at all. It should not fall to the front of the tank because it can get stuck there and then in the next upline or hovering you really have a problem. I make sure...

RE: I don't know how to plumb a gasser tank

Anything's better than just a straight brass tube. That zip tie needs something to stop it from sliding off. Your method will prevent it too.

RE: I don't know how to plumb a gasser tank

Nope you have not steered me wrong ever. Thanks for the great input in the thread. I will try the copper wire sometime. I soldered a little piece of the next size brass tubing on the end and that was...

RE: I don't know how to plumb a gasser tank

Yep the end result of my experience so far is "use barbs and zip ties or be sorry".

RE: I don't know how to plumb a gasser tank

I'm glad you found the thread useful. I myself have never had this much trouble plumbing my glow tanks...the gas seems to cause some weird swelling problems. Anyway, the barbs are the way to go IMO....

RE: I don't know how to plumb a gasser tank

I ended up soldering on a little piece of the next size brass tubing as a barb. Then I used Aerotrend Easy Flex. I used zip ties. It looks pretty solid now. I still have my Edge done with the...

RE: I don't know how to plumb a gasser tank

I think the barbs are a must for me. Like I said when that neopreme was wet, that clunk pulled right off the neopreme line. When it was dry it was much harder. When it was dry I couldn't get the...

RE: I don't know how to plumb a gasser tank

Ralph, it is the Hayes neopreme and it still pulls off the 5/32 brass tubing..even with little wire twisties tied on all connecting points. Maybe you don't do enough snap rolls or blenders because...

RE: I don't know how to plumb a gasser tank

Thanks for the ideas guys. I think I will be doing the soldering and use barbs. I need to see what size those Dubro come in. I have my tanks setup for 5/32 brass tubing right now. I think those...

I don't know how to plumb a gasser tank

Yep it's true, apparently I don't know how to plumb a gasser fuel tank. I have tried a few times now and the pickup lines just slip right off during a snap roll (I believe that's when it happens)....
