RE: Extreme Flight Extra 300, 50cc, 88.5inch Wingspan, Build !!!!!!!

Yes I did. Got the DA-120 combo. All I can say is OMG what an amazing plane...especially with that grunty DA-120. Amazing power.

I had to sell either my 88 Yak or 88 Extra. It wasn't an easy...

RE: Extreme Flight Extra 300, 50cc, 88.5inch Wingspan, Build !!!!!!!

Glad you got it back into action and enjoying it Nitro. I have flown the heck out of mine. Once you get in a groove with it, amazing things will happen. I sold mine to a club friend and so far the...

RE: Extreme Flight Extra 300, 50cc, 88.5inch Wingspan, Build !!!!!!!

Cool glad to see back in the air. I sold mine to fund my 110 Yak. [:o] The cool thing is that it went to a pilot in my club....so it's still around. :D

Great pic's. How did you like the flight performance? I'm installing skis on mine for snow flying this winter.

RE: Extreme Flight Extra 300, 50cc, 88.5inch Wingspan, Build !!!!!!!

Yep! This is a big plane and you want to keep it light. I use the DLE-55 with stock muffler. The stock muffler only weighs 3.4 oz or 96g. That keeps it very light. I didn't use the instrument panel...

RE: Extreme Flight Extra 300, 50cc, 88.5inch Wingspan, Build !!!!!!!

I have the DLE-55 on mine and it's incredible power. Rocket-like up lines. I love the engine. The MVVS is going to be a pound heavier and that would bug me. I'm just under 18 pounds without the...

RE: Extreme Flight Extra 300, 50cc, 88.5inch Wingspan, Build !!!!!!!

Flies awesome. I thought I was a 1/4" behind their recommended max. If it starts at 6", and ends at 6 3/4", then I'm probably at 7". I was surprised that I was so far back, and that it flew so well....

RE: Extreme Flight Extra 300, 50cc, 88.5inch Wingspan, Build !!!!!!!

I forgot exactly what my CG is but I think it's around 7 1/4". Nitro I'd say you need it back more. Mine has very little harrier rock. I think the aft most CG they recommend is 7 but I remember mine...

RE: Extreme Flight Extra 300, 50cc, 88.5inch Wingspan, Build !!!!!!!

Cool glad to hear you're flying it again. Mine had a pancake crash landing this season but was repairable. It's still flying great, a fun fun plane to fly.

RE: Extreme Flight Extra 300, 50cc, 88.5inch Wingspan, Build !!!!!!!

Yeah Fromeco makes a dual input dual output switch. I'd get (3) A123 1100 mah. Two in the dual switch to the receiver. Deans in, JR out. Then put one on a normal JR/Cermark switch to the ignition. If...

RE: Extreme Flight Extra 300, 50cc, 88.5inch Wingspan, Build !!!!!!!

Thanks CnB. That last one had some rolling harriers a little too low. Probably wasn't too far from those trees that I kept flying around. [X(] The wind direction was coming out of that corner of the...

RE: Extreme Flight Extra 300, 50cc, 88.5inch Wingspan, Build !!!!!!!

Thanks g. I have to get my girlfriend's video cam and do some better quality ones. This was just an experiment.

We had a weekend that was just perfect for flying. We all felt like we were in a...

RE: Extreme Flight Extra 300, 50cc, 88.5inch Wingspan, Build !!!!!!!

Some low quality vid's from today using a digital still camera. If I knew how far it was going to look I would have flown a lot closer (and scared my camera man, hee hee).

RE: Extreme Flight Extra 300, 50cc, 88.5inch Wingspan, Build !!!!!!!

Looks like I'll be flying this bad boy tomorrow. Looks cloudy but otherwise nice. I've been hucken the Yak for weeks so it'll be nice to take the Extra out again.

RE: Extreme Flight Extra 300, 50cc, 88.5inch Wingspan, Build !!!!!!!

I had a little accident too a couple months ago. I pan caked it in doing a "too low" knife edge loop. It could have been so much worse had I not leveled the wings in time and kept them "almost"...

Yeah nice re-build. I would have trashed it for sure. It looks like new. Are you going to repair the cowling?

The both 3D awesome. But if you want it for precision, the Extra carries more speed through the manuevers. I like them both.
