Excellant work VJ, still following this every day. Yes, you can braze with MAPP gas, it is all i ever use.

You're going to love that new sander.
My wife bought me a 12" Delta a couple of years ago for Christmas. It is awesome, i will never go back to a 6" sander.

I vote for the Bob Gosney scheme. Kind of the "tradional" scheme but still great looking especially with the checkerboard bottom.

Yes, we are supposed to enjoy the build. I like the steel block idea too, if my calculations are correct it weighs approx. 10.5 pounds, perfect for holding down the structure and keeping your formers...
