On my 3W80XI and RC G62, I can crank them when it's 30 out using my std starting procedure. Choke on several clicks of throttle, ignition on, flip till it pops, choke off, then 3 or 4 flips and...

Both my needles on my 3w80XI are down at 3/4 turn. If I open the low to 1 1/4" it is so rich it loads up and dies at idle in 15 seconds....Same for the high. Much over 1 turn open and it 4 strokes...

Did you happen to inspect the surface area of the carb where the meetering needle seats to the carb? Maybe a ruff spot on it from corrosion, thus fuel seaping through when the needle is...

What about the possibility of airflow causing fuel to condense on the choke plate? Can you put the snorkel on the carb and see what happens?
