RE: Just dropped ~$1200 on a Flux

That is resting voltage. Remember that whilst under load when the truck is on, the voltage will dip dramatically when the packs are exhausted. This will come back up after the packs are taken out of...

RE: Just dropped ~$1200 on a Flux

I've run BL in my E-savage, E-maxx/Revo hybrid racer, Slash and a few others and am presently in the process of converting my truggy. Been using it for about 3 years, lipo 2 and a half.

As has...

RE: Just dropped ~$1200 on a Flux

Neu motors have pretty flat performance across the board, check out some of the graphs on their site. Horsepower is merely a function of torque and RPM so as long as you have a lot of one, you don't...

RE: Just dropped ~$1200 on a Flux

And you guys are way underestimating BL. Even the stock NEU alike motor in the flux is capable of laying down 3 *real* hp at peak on 6s. Not make believe nitro dyno hp. That's enough power to run the...

RE: Just dropped ~$1200 on a Flux

It's still replacing something on the motor due to wear. And it's still more expensive than two halves of f*ck all on a maintenance free brushless motor.

Look at it from the perspective of the...

RE: Just dropped ~$1200 on a Flux

Did we not bother with maths at school then?

If you get 13 minutes runtime in a nitro savage and 100 runs from 4 gallons (at which point you'll prolly be changing something in the nitro motor...

RE: Just dropped ~$1200 on a Flux

And judging by the crap job that fire extinguisher is doing of putting out the fire, it really is a genuine maxamps product!

RE: Just dropped ~$1200 on a Flux

The 25t pinion is included for onroad speed runs with Phaltline tires or equivelant. It is not supposed to be used for offroad use with heavy offroad tires. You will fry the electrics.

This...

RE: Just dropped ~$1200 on a Flux

No problem, I'm sorry if I came across as an ass. Maxamps riles me up though.

RE: Just dropped ~$1200 on a Flux

Perhaps you should read my post again. You'd see that the packs won't match the specs they claim. C rating is meaningless if it's just claimed and not tested. I could write 50c continuous on a pack,...

RE: Just dropped ~$1200 on a Flux

Maxamps rely on their advertising and magazine features to snare customers who are pretty ignorant of lipo technology, and are more likely to respond to a company with big flashing colours and lights...

RE: Just dropped ~$1200 on a Flux

Aye, good move.

Maxamps will probably be alright performance wise for a while, but they seem to drop performance quick, especially in high stress situations like the Flux. I'd be more concerned...
