I take all the c cells out of the car packs and install in the Sullivan power pak. You just connect the two wires from the starter to the powerpak and everthing is good to go.

I've seen people start them by hand also, but you won't see me doing it :)

I like the size of the Kavan starter, but it just doesn't turn fast enough to get my high RPM engines started at full throttle.

The Sullivan Hi-Torq starter is a good one, although I've never been a big fan of the squish swittch on the handle.
