On the DLE there is a needle bearing on the crank...

On the DLE there is a needle bearing on the crank pin where the connecting rod fits. There is another needle bearing at the top of the rod on the wrist pin.

The engine has been redesigned and there are new design parts to replace the discontinued parts you mention.
