On my older Dynatron the sun rotted the cover of the switch. I got the parts from Sullivan to repair it. No problem

The Kavan is inline planetary geared and the Magnum is spur type pinion-bull with an offset. This Kavan is really small compared with the Hobbico and Sullivan starters we have talked about.

Here's a link to the Kavan starters I've been around. They have a planetary drive and I've seen one start a old style G23

If you already have a 180, there nothing like a lot of amp-hour capacity to make it start bigger engines. I've also run my 180 on 24 volts. It hasn't burned it up yet. I've also run the Tower Deluxe...

I have the torque master 180 as well as a couple Dynatrons.

The Dynatron is twice as powerful as the 180. The 180 has barely noticeable more power than the 90
