RE: JR 9303 w Synthesized Module

I've had a different experience. I bought one and range tested it side by side with the crystal module. I got about half the range with the syth module. I exchanged it for another one and tested...

RE: 2006 Sequences?

I learned this from cycling. I think it applies here as well.

The four "T's" are talent, training, technique and tools.

Talent - What God gave you.

Training - How much you work to...

RE: "Split-Pitch" props

A split pitch prop simply means that it will NEVER be efficient at ANY airspeed. What this means is that if you're looking for low speed thrust only half of this prop will be giving you want you...

RE: BME 105, best prop

I'll cast a vote in the other direction. I have a 102 and am very happy with it. The 110 is really, truly an extreme engine. There isn't a lot of mass for the power it makes and the heat it needs...

RE: New Workshop: Need Flooring, Bench Advice

I converted my garage to a workshop as well. I made a bench at the head of the garage from a full sized solid core door and then ripped another door in half lengthwise and lined the wall with...

RE: down line & up line snaps

Correct. The 2005 Sportsman sequence has one horizontal snap. The 2006 Sportsman sequence will have snaps on a 45.

RE: down line & up line snaps

Actually, Sportsman has snaps on 45 lines. No more snaps on the horizontal, we're jumping right from not doing to snaps to doing them on a 45.

Also, there is nothing in the judging guide about...

RE: New ZDZ-80

Careful with the Mej 27x10. It's a fat prop with the blade cord at the root bigger than the Mej 28x10. It'll put a huge load on the motor. As how I know? Anyone want to buy a Mej 27x10?

RE: Synth module and Rx

Has anyone used the synth TX module with JR PCM non-synth receivers? I've tried every combination of receiver and crystal that I own and I have reduced range of about 50% using the synth transmitter...

Which Cans for 150cc Motor?

I'm going to be setting up a 40% Carden Extra 330s this winter and I've started shopping for the engine and exhaust. I want front exit cans, so I think my choices are Pefa, MTW and K&S. I think all...

RE: Soften the Center

My opinion is that you should have control harmony. I like to have the controls throws adjusted so that the movement about each axis is an equal amount for a given stick throw. Likewise, the sticks...

I got the Radio South springs too, and love them. I can "feel the difference" with them.

RE: Has anyone used 100LL avgas in their airplane engines?

Guys- If the gas you're getting from the pump is BLUE, it's avgas 100LL. Feds mandate that 100LL be dyed blue and that it is the only gas sold with that color. This helps prevent fueling errors in...

Andyt- That looks like a nice pump, but how would you get the fuel tubing over that big connector?

RE: Electric Gasoline Fueling Systems

Found it!

It's a C&K 7205K2. It's ON-MOM-ON (7205), locking (K2). C&K's catalog page shows all the various options for the switch.

ITT's website has a stock check function but it doesn't...

RE: Electric Gasoline Fueling Systems

Bill- A safety switch cannot be bumped on. You have to physically pull the switch out and then move it up or down. As for the batteries, I had them lying around and I want as much capacity as I...

RE: Which Oil?

It's easy to see if the oil you're using has caused any carbon buildup. Just pull you plug and have a look at the top of your piston. I bought a motor used and found out that it had a bunch of...

RE: zdz 80 fuel draw problem at startup only

I had this once with one of my ZDZ-80's. It turned out that some of the fuel line had hardened and was not completely sealing over the fittings. I replaced a few pieces and added fuel line clamps...

RE: Slowing down a Comp-Arf 2.6 Extra 330

I dunno about that. My father used to comment on how the 757 did real nice in a slip.

I know you know this Pete, but for the benefit of others, a slip to landing is not supposed to be used to...
