RE: 6S 10A 250W charger/discharger(106B+)

That's the 1010 charger...the 106 charger's page doesn't show a balance board like that and it's not listed as "included." So even though it seems like it should come with a balance board, it's not...

RE: 6S 10A 250W charger/discharger(106B+)

Bump again...still wondering about the 106b+! Does it come with some sort of balance board to plug into the side? Or does the pack's balance tap plug directly into the side of the charger? Either...

RE: A123racing's Horrible Customer Service

It's a shame, because Brian from A123 (whatever his position is, I don't know) was a common presence on this forum and others around the time these cells were first being released to the RC...

RE: 6S 10A 250W charger/discharger(106B+)

Bump...still curious about balancing taps with this charger. Can you plug a pack's balance tap straight into the side of the charger? If so, what type of balance tap is the charger compatible with?...

RE: A123 QUESTIONS

Jeff, good to hear your testimony since I might end up going 2s1p in my Stampede, and I might want to gear up to compensate for lower voltage...but I don't want to lose my wheelies either. Is that a...

RE: 10S 10A 300W iCharger 1010B+ is releasing!

I have looked through some of this information but I haven't found the answer to this question: What balance tap style do these chargers use? I'm interested in the 106b+ but I'd need to make sure...

RE: Super Brain 977 and A123

Not quite correct, no. Many LiPo chargers can charge A123 in a sense, but that's only because A123 cells are very tolerant of overcharging. The fact of the matter is that A123's have different...

RE: Rookie to electric R/CNeed Help?

Did you mean 1100 mAh capacity? Is this a main battery pack for a car or an airplane pack or what? Generally for lower capacity NiMH cells like that, stick to a charge rate of maybe 1 or 2 amps...

RE: 6S 10A 250W charger/discharger(106B+)

Hi, if you happen to still be around (or if anyone else knows), I have a question. What type of balance tap does the charger have built into it?

RE: A123 powered F150 Powerwheel

These projects are great! Hey snellemin, you have a lucky son! What is your "good charger" going to be?

I tell you, if 2s2p A123 fit in my Stampede I would go A123 so fast. Lower capacity of...

RE: 9s1p A123 Rustler. Crazy sure, fun Yes. 2400W Peak

You better be careful with those things, you might start a black hole or something. [8D]

RE: 2s and 3s a123 cells in my traxxas rustler and stampede

Good to hear that the 2s does well with such a powerful motor. I think a lot of people are turned off by the lower nominal voltage of A123's, thinking they aren't up to the task (admittedly I have...

RE: 2s and 3s a123 cells in my traxxas rustler and stampede

What motor is in the Stampede? What sort of run time did you get with the 2s pack in the Stampede?

RE: A123 racing Site down for over a week now

I hope the site is down for a good reason...new products or something. However, they just put new stuff on there so maybe they're just polishing it up (slowly).

RE: 1/10 car application

Thanks for the info guys. Being a basher I do wish I could get some more run time out of A123 cells (2s2p pack would be fine for me if it weren't for the huge size). But I may yet go the A123 route...

RE: 1/10 car application

Hey helishack, sounds like you've been successful with the 2s1p pack in a similar application as me if I got A123: a Stampede powered by a Novak SS5800. What sort of run time do you get with your...

RE: 1/10 car application

It's actually a separate "turbo module" that steps up the voltage and can be used on any A123 pack. They are just packaged together in this case. However, it is not recommended for use with...

RE: e-revo and 4600mah a123s run time ?

I think technically an A123 pack is 1mm too thick for the E-Revo battery boxes. This is just according to the specs for the two products. I haven't heard if they can be "persuaded" to fit. ...
