Oh man time moves on and even our RC language keeps a changing (as much as I hate it). I feel more like an anachronism every day:D

Builder float planes without a water rudder is always like an unguided missle and a mistake.

Thanks builder and yes both are mine but the blue one is just my sixty sized old Schneider sport and the black floats are for my Quad Kadet not a giant but is stretched to 87inch span.

Attaching the floats to existing main gear fuselage blocks of a tricyle gear airplane is a really bad plan. And even worse for the forward struts to come together and insert into the nose gear...

builder may I suggest that the old methods of struts using piano wire and collors etc. is quite antiquated and it tends to promote flexing on those attachment blocks with the collors. This does...

It will make a fine float ship and many have been done. Contrary to popular belief the key to good water performance is not excessive power but a proper float installation.
