RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D Part II - Thread Continuation

A 12.25x3.75 APC would be the prop I would use. It is the best prop that I have tried on my .46AX. You might start with your CG at 4.25. If I remember right when I had mine, I was at 4.75 to 5 inches.

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D Part II - Thread Continuation

I just used some foam weather strip where the fuse sets on the wing and that helped the noise a fair amount. Got a Saito 1.25 on my 60 size, battery mounted behind the wing bolts, and CG at 6" and...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D Part II - Thread Continuation

I don't think the clear would bother me. I like to mount a volt watch on the dash. Kinda looks like gauges and it would be easier to see. Just my thought.[8D]

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D Part II - Thread Continuation

It'd been a while since I've had the .40 size. But if I remember right 4 3/4" is in the ball park. On my .60 it's about 5 3/4 to 6"

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D Part II - Thread Continuation

The thing that would worry me is the vibration in that wing. The metal bolt may vibrate out. I've never had problems with my nylon bolt. In fact someone else so kindly turned on their transmitter...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D Part II - Thread Continuation

APC 12.25x3.75 prop is awesome for the .46. It was my second plane as well, the trainer (nexstar) never flew again[8D]. I ended up putting a Magnum .91 4-stroke and an APC 14x4w combo on it. To me...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D Part II - Thread Continuation

My 60 T-t flys fairly well. But the right thrust on the firewall is wrong. When I pull straight up it pulls to the left. Ive tired to trim the rudder to straighten it out but there is a 3/8 inch...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D Part II - Thread Continuation

F_shawn, I had a magnum .91 4-stroke in my 40 T-T and I too am at the elevation you are. IMO that's what you need and there's just enough clearance for an apc 14x4W. And at only $20 more than the...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D Part II - Thread Continuation

plowboy, I came across your post on the edge. I would sell the saito and buy a DL-50. The 50 is the same price as the saito and the fuel economy is lots better and cheaper. My $0.02.

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D Part II - Thread Continuation

I used 15% Powermaster in my OS .46AX and then one day I ran out. The only thing I had was Powermaster YS 20/20 so I used that. You gain a little rpm and there is a very little more oil to wipe off....

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D Part II - Thread Continuation

I haven't tried the .61 but this I know. For the 4 stroke sound that I love to hear, The Magnum .91RFS I had on my .40 T-T was AWESOME with a 14x4w apc prop and 3.25 in wheels for prop clearance. I...
