FiberClassics 330L – Here we go again;)

Craig,

I put 1/4" foam under my B&B tank and still have about an 1/8" clearance from the spar.

FiberClassics 330L – Here we go again;)

woodscra,

I mounted my engine 5/16" higher than the marks and used a 4.5" spinner. The only trim needed to have the plane flying straight was 1 click of down trim. Moving the engine up this...

FiberClassics 330L – Here we go again;)

RickP,

I do a lot of 3D type flying so I decided to install baffling on my plane. I first made a left and right cardboard template of the inside curve of the cowl. I found this was easier than...

FiberClassics 330L – Here we go again;)

woodscra,

It will vary a little by the plane. The first one I built needed 3/32" of spacing. The second needed only a 1/16" spacer to give a nice spinner to cowl gap. My friend built another and...

FiberClassics 330L – Here we go again;)

woodscra,

I haven't done a sound check with the plane. Noise is not an issue at our field right now. I'm breaking it in with a 26x10 NX prop so it is noisy, especially in the air. Cutting off the...

FiberClassics 330L – Here we go again;)

Here's how the bottom of my cowl looks. I had to cut 5/8" off the pipes to get the cowl to go over them.

RickP,

You remove the sticky mounting tape and sand the bottom and epoxy it in place.

FiberClassics 330L – Here we go again;)

RickP,

I used the Bennett 32oz tank in mine and it fit under the spar with a little room to spare. Mounted it the same way as 3DFalcon in the other post. Just make sure you get the heavy duty...

FiberClassics 330L – Here we go again;)

shill,

The instructions said to use a 5" spinner but I thought that was too big for a 33% airplane. I got a good deal on the 4.5" spinner so that's what I used.

FiberClassics 330L – Here we go again;)

shill,

I used a True Turn 4.5" Ultimate spinner. If I used a 5" spinner I could have used the marks already on the firewall.

FiberClassics 330L – Here we go again;)

RickP,

I drilled the holes on the first one I built 1/4" higher than the indentations on the firewall. I got this measurement from a friend who had already mounted his engine. On the second...

FiberClassics 330L – Here we go again;)

Hi Dave,

Did you add any extra right thrust when installing your DA?

Thanks, Tim

FiberClassics 330L – Here we go again;)

RickP,

I used 2-56 x 1/4" socket head cap screws and # 2 flat washers.
I didn't use a nut on the back side just Locktite.
