My firewall is 7.5" x 7.25". This is actually a sub-firewall. On these types of planes they have an extra long cowl (I think to allow for custom smoke systems) that requires a stand off box type...

What did you use for a firewall, plywood? Was the firewall glued inside of laid up glass? How thick was it? I finished the molds for my 25% Edge 540 and laid up the first parts today. I...

Did you trim the excess fiberglass flush to the parting line while it was wet before vacuum bagging it?
