Angelo,
One other thing that could be causing your problem is fuel foaming from out of balance prop and/or no foam pading under the fuel tank. That could explain while holding it verticle it runs...

Morris Fun Design/Rossi 45 RE

I have this same combo and I found it very hard to hover for extended periods. The Morris Su-Do-khoi is much easier to hover for me. Don't know if this is due to low wing mounting in the Fun Design...

bearing failure from extended hovering

I too have been experiencing premature bearing failure since I've started long term hovering and praticing torque rolling flight after flight. The rear bearing fails after about four gallons fuel. It...

Ultrathrust Muffler??

I agree, they do what they advertise.

These are larger in both dia. and lenght than the stock muffler and point straight back so sometime the fuselage will interfer with the fit making an...

Irvine 53

ssmith,
Yes, I have the same problem you do, it keeps idling with the throttle completely closed. One or two other people in another thread on the Irvine 53 complained of that problem also. Received...

The tower muffler has a smaller outlet than the fox mufflers, thereby somewhat quieter.

fuel foaming?

From your desrciption the problem could be fuel foaming. If you're riching the high speed needle a full turn or more to get the engine to settle down that would be my guess. Use a balancer to get the...

I have three of the TT46. Two run slightly rich through mid-range but one did just what yours is doing. You can get a new low speed needle and hope you get one with the taper cut correctly or you can...

Os Or TTWhich One Has More Power

Boomstriker,
If you like to hover you should try an apc 12.25 x 3.75 on the TT46 or the OS46. I noticed this prop was not on your list of props, you gotta try one.

Happy Hovering

fuel tank height

One thing that could account for your problem is a lower fuel tank position in the model than you had on the test stand. One rule of the thumb is center of tank 1/4 or 3/8 inch below needle valve or...

spoilerons

Hi bigjoe,
I think the people that fly the large scale models do use spoileron when doing the harrier. It's been my experiance with the 40 size profiles that it makes them wing wobble much worse...

Fox RC long glow plugs

Russian,
No, you certainly will not ruin your engine using fox plugs because they are slightly on the cold heat range. If you're using 15% fuel the fox plugs are extra insurance against preignition...

Well I'm certain this Pacer is derived from Ace 1/2A pacer from the mid '70s. I still have my Ace 1/2 A Pacer with Tee-Dee .051. The Ace kits I believe were 200 sq.in. wings and the wing...
