RE: AMA Warning Label on FPV Advertisements???

It doesn't matter how much C4 the models can carry. Prohibition only takes away from honest people. It seems like there is genuine fear of the government robbing our freedom for the illusion of...

RE: AMA Warning Label on FPV Advertisements???

I agree. Maybe if we push the AMA and MAAC they will be able to accelerate the governments regulation of FPV before something bad happens and severely restricts our hobby.

RE: AMA Warning Label on FPV Advertisements???

Let's hope fpv gets regulated like RC/AP, soon. It's a threat to the hobby we love. These yahoos need to be removed from our hobby before a major incident occurs.

RE: Got a question on lipo battery charger

Yes it should be fine. The balance connector with the 4 wires are simply taps from each cell, the black wire is the negative (same as the main output black wire) and the red wire is positive (same as...

RE: 2ooo mAh eneloop battery pack vs 1700 mah nicad

If this is the NiCad you plan on using it may not be up to the task either since it has a 17mohm internal impedance. The eneloop AA has a 25mohm impedance.

RE: Lightweight low shrink Opaque Covering

Don't use coverite microlite for nitro, it's not fuel proof.

RE: Balancing a 2S pack ?

You can use a 6 volt automotive bulb to discharge individual cells, but you need a voltmeter to measure the voltage of each cell.

RE: Battery Management

All you need to measure is a voltmeter. Measure the battery after sitting at least 5 min after discharging. 80% discharged is about 3.7 volts/cell.

RE: 1700mAh t8fg super problem ?

C=1700ma=1.7amps
C/2=850ma=.85amps
C/10=170ma=.17amps

You can't really use the peak charger for slow charging, as you discovered. Do you have a wall charger that came with the radio? These are...

RE: 1700mAh t8fg super problem ?

If you're using a peak charger, you should charge at least at C/2 so that the charger properly detects the peak. For AA cells, C/2 is a good charge rate. For your new battery it's a good idea to slow...

RE: How to setup Lipo Low Voltage Tester

My guess is.
It displays "all" then displays the pack voltage.
then it displays "no1" and displays cell 1 voltage
then it displays "no2" and displays cell 2 voltage
then it displays "no3" and...

RE: Battery cell question

I downloaded the manual from here.
http://www.motionrc.com/freewing-f-86-sabre-arf/
It says nothing about running a 4S. I'm not sure if the included ESC can handle 4S.

RE: How to setup Lipo Low Voltage Tester

3.3 volts is too low of a setting. If it's not adjustable you may want to give wide open throttle periodically and land if the alarm goes off while at WOT.

RE: Servo Extensions

If you do need an extra connector (wing removal)I recommend the deans micro. They are far better than the standard servo connectors and will give you minimal voltage drop.

RE: Which model of rc heilcopter is suitable for beginners?

Get any good heli of your choice, set it up tame, and put 100 hours on the sim. I started with a raptor 30 (TT36)with5 hours sim time and I regret both.

RE: Types of Jet guys, which type are you?

Hmm, the fact that the OP made this thread about rc jet pilots instead of rc pilots definitely eliminates him from the cool guy category.

RE: 2 tune a 50 sx with a Macs tuned pipe

Don't forget earplugs and warn the neighbors when you run the engine open faced. A 50sx is insanely loud without it's muffler.</p>

RE: why is nitro hated by some???

When you ask people the reasons behind their preferences, you some times get valuable information.
