yea lol, broke front arm+bulkhead. Then my steering servo went south (not the gears, the actual servo is destroyed somehow).
Them's the breaks though, its not like anyone knew about this truck when...

Another thing to note is buying a truck that your Local hobby store stocks parts for will save you headaches and downtimes waiting on shipping, also the hobby store should be able to help you out...

motor oil is more likely to leak due to additives placed in them for high heat stability.
You could however get a non detergent racing oil, that would probably work half decent.
I suppose the cost...

its insurance, if you make a false claim then you're open for insurance fraud.
Its up to them if they care or not about paying out 225$ or the amount that the buyer says its worth (50$ or whatever...

unless the track is big and sweeping, having a really powerful .12 engine isnt going to benefit you a ton anyways since they make most of thier power at higher rpm.
Go with a cheaper OS .12 and...

i bought a serpent impulse (way back when they just came out) for my first car, tbh im really glad i did, its an extremely durable car and took the beatings of a nitro newb lol.

supercharging/turbocharging these 2 cycle motors is pretty useless because all its going to do IF it does work, is push the air/fuel mixture right out the ports before it burns completely.

mekong, try Leaning out your LSN a little bit and see if that helps.
ggomez i had the same issue as you today because the temp outside was around 60 instead of 30, i leaned out my HSN about 1/8th...

oh one thing though, make sure you line up the truck properly or the starterbox will eat away at your skidplate instead of hitting the flywheel :P

DPC got my Servo saver yesterday (canada post sucks lol) :) very nice piece.
Exellent job on them!
For the rev eliminator shaft you'd probably want to go with some high carbon steel.

i replaced all my fuel line with some nice red stuff made by dynamite :) matches the engines head a bit too hehe
the stock fuel line is kindof crappy and you might have to bend the throttle linkage...

hehe i loved my serpent impulse for that :P i literally exploded rims, blew servo gears and servo savers and never had to replace a part of the actual car :P
That thing is/was crazy tough :)
