RE: RCGF Engines

There is already a thread on the that engine. All you had to do was scroll down the gas engine forum page. This thread is about RCGF.

RE: RCGF Engines

That is very odd. They could have used the same muffler for both sides and it would have been just as close. All that did was add extra time and money to modify an extra muffler.
I looked at the...

RE: RCGF Engines

That is unfortunate. For me, a 40cc twin isn't a good candidate for an 85" warbird. Their 50cc twin would be a better choice considering the 8" OD and angled plugs.

RE: RCGF Engines

Yea it looks like RCGF has been reading the forum. :D There was a thread a while back with a few of us begging someone to make a 40cc twin. This is a great candidate for the ESM 70" warbirds with...

aeroscale I have an RCGF 45. I replaced the stock carb with a DLE55 carb, $39.99, and it works very well. No complaints.

RE: RCGF Engines

He may be a DA fanboy but he is just telling the truth about the hubs. I had one of their 45cc engines and the prop hub shattered. There are people that still fly with the old hub design, which is...

It won't matter whether any of us like them or not because soon enough there will be nowhere else to buy hobby gear.

RE: RCGF Engines

Hey Splat, I see you have a RCGF 45, you need to inspect the hub and see if you have the old three bolt model hub. If you do have one of the old style hubs please replace it with the newer heavier 4...

RE: RCGF Engines

That is why I took the 55 off for the 45. The 55 was a waste of power and the 45 will be perfect.
My only problem now the hub on the 45 failed/sheared off and I am going to have a stronger one made.

RE: RCGF Engines

After starting this thread 2 years ago I finally acquired an RCGF engine. It's a 45cc to go in my GP Sukhoi SU-31. I bought it from a gentleman of RCU that purchased it from Henry last summer. I was...

When I started this thread two years ago I thought I had come across a gem of an engine line. I really got excited when I saw the hard work going into the engines by the distributors.
I was...

RE: RCGF Engines

True...

Here is a converted G38. It weights 56 oz. with muffler and ignition. That is in the neighborhood of the 45cc.
I have a H9 P-51 that is a good candidate for a 45cc.

RE: RCGF Engines

We do have a short runway. I don't want to fly this plane 90 mph but I really like to have emergency power on all of my planes.

I wish RCGF would bridge the gap between the 26cc and 45cc...

RE: RCGF Engines

I might be wrong but I think the guys from RCGF said in this thread that the 26cc wasn't a super powerful engine. I'll see if I can find it.
Ok from driesbabe , the African distributor in post # 29...
