hmmm...i flew mine with a DA 50 and 23x8 Menz (that was the previously recommended prop for DA 50) and a 23x10 Mejlik. i liked the Menz better for quicker takeoff and better verticle. i got 109 MPH...

i've been running the 24" prop for a whle. i like the 23 bolly a little better. the 24 is nice on my aerobatic planes.

No, flight test has not happend yet. still have to complete ground testing. 1st flight test will be in the H9 1/3 scale Cap 232 we have setup for just that purpose.

sorry, i must have missed that. yep, you're right, no matter what exhaust, the glow motors, while showing some pretty impressive power to weight ratios, are messier.

Still working on our CS prop. but, what i discovered is that the alum landing gear block that i put into the Robart gear just transfered the shock of a bad landing into the strut and/or the gear...

my plan is to test in the Cap (we redesigned the prop blade layup schedule, which has caused a fairly large delay) and i hope to do this initial testing on the 19th and 20th of June.

Hi Mustang Ace.

the standoffs for my particular airplane were 3.71875" long. the official word from Great Planes is to do the CG with the wheels down, "it is the most critical phase of flight"....

I agree on the wheels up vs down on changing the CG. I just was following the diagram. i'll post the answer from GP when i get it.
