RE: Poulan bearings

I have had 2 of these engines and both used a different sized bearing and different seals. On one the seals were part of the bearings and the others were not. I'm sure someone else will chime in and...

RE: Fuji Vs. Zenoah?

A G-38 would be a good choice for a Super Decathlon, in my opinion. I have a Decathlon with a Poulan 46. It has way more power than it needs. I don't think you can beat Zenoahs for dependability. I...

RE: saito FA65 in a PT40

whzyrd, I have to agree, an inexpensive two stroke would be a better alternative. Besides the cg problems, you will probably have an issue with prop clearance. That is not a good thing on a trainer. I...

RE: Dynaflite Super Decathlon

hy flyr, Just take your time on the leading edge and wing tips. I used the LE template for reference only, in other words it doesn't have to match the template precisely, it is just used to keep you...

RE: Sig Something Extra - Wing Gap

SwedeAce , I had this same problem with my Something Extra. I laminated 1/16" balsa to the wing rib at the low areas only. I then blended in the new balsa until it was flat and true with the rib and...

RE: I'd rather build another vrs. fix it

DBCherry, I'm with you. I'll fix anything that is reasonably fixable. I have been given basket cases from club members that want no part in rebuilding them. I find the challenging ones to repair are...

Hi Jim,
Your Stingray came out very nice. You are going to like the way it flies. It makes me want to build another one. I have one suggestion, I would move your battery pack back more...

RE: Adjusting Reed Value on Ryobi?

Bend the reed valve stop so it allows the reed to open 1/8". Don't bend the reed, It should lay flat on the backplate/manifold.

RE: Home Made Ryobi 31cc Engine Mount

Ric, that is a good looking mount. I don't see why 5/16" clearance between the carb and firewall would be an issue. As far as cutting a hole in the firewall to flush mount the backplate, I have...

RE: hey i am dumb read me

I have to agree with ngillpatrick. The LT-40 is a big easy to see plane that will fly just fine on a plain bearing .40 size engine.

RE: Dynaflite Super Decathlon

FUZZ, I haven't noticed any problem seeing the yellow against the white. I fly fairly low and don't let it get very far away. The older I get, the closer in I seem to fly them.[8D]
