Nice work Slow. I would have given the wheel well more clearance. They tend to hang up on the rotating type. Maybe a smaller tire?? My 2centss.

Keep it light, the P-40 is a nose heavy bird in...

The Corsair wing may be a bit much for an example.

The configuration more similar to your wing would be our 109, except for the gear. 1/4" balsa mostly except for LG plate, that's 3/16"5 ply.

Slow the urethane foam will create an extremely strong wing. Like a a park bench really. But it will be too heavy for this application once you have a completed air frame.

Slow, I have used those retracts. They are a pain to link up. I have for my TF P-40, the Robart air rotating retracts that are a very simple install.

Plug moving pretty fast at this stage. Intake ducts are proving to be more complex that I thought. More formers needed.

And yes, I drive a pick up, among other things.

We use a small "hot box" with space heater.

Impressive framing.

In a few months we are going to do a composite Arado 243 EDF. When we do it, I'll post the molding methods we use. Will save you a lot of time and material on your next one...

Looks good in the board. I found a pic of one of our 54" span composite corsair wings we made in 1991. Molds are still in good shape.
