RE: H9 P-51 Crash on Maiden

I did it too with my first foamie. After 9 year of flying I became to complacent. I hand launched the thing, it started rolling left, gave it right, it was inverted, I have it more right, it was...

RE: Giles 202 owners? Did I screw up?

Worst flying plane I own. It flies like a dart at high speed and will go exactly where you point it (the only good aspect). It will even stall at high speed if to much elevator is applied (like 20...

RE: Starter for a large glow engine Help (TorqueMaster 180)

The OS 160FX has to have a tighter compression than the Saito 180. It probably doesn't help that I only have a gallon of fuel through it so far.

RE: Starter for a large glow engine Help (TorqueMaster 180)

Starter for a large glow engine Help (TorqueMaster 180)

I bought a Hobbico TorqueMaster 180. The box claims it will...

RE: search for 46 3d

I just broke the wood prop over the weekend (tumble caused by tailtouching in a hover). I replaced it with a 12.25x3.75 which also works well, but I like the woody.

RE: search for 46 3d

I have an 8 year old OS 46FX on my MOJO with a tower muffler and a 12x4 Pro Zinger prop and it pulls out of a hover pretty quick. Unlimited verticle. The 11.5x4 would work well too. I did try the...

RE: YS 110 needs a home, looking for ideas

Forget the fatties, get a Mojo 65. It will 3D better than any of the previously mentioned airframes.

RE: duel purpose wing? am i crazy?

Like others have said, I think anything you can make that will be strong enough for your car will be way to heavy for an aircraft.

The only thing that I can think of that may be light enough...

RE: duel purpose wing? am i crazy?

Cool, I was just picturing a 4* wing on the back of a car. It was hillarious to think about.

RE: Hangar9 P-51 PTS: Expiration Date 2/22/07

I agree, I lost orientation while trying to hover about 25' off the deck (first time off the simulator). The plane must have turned so up was down. When it started to nose down, staying calm...

RE: Hangar9 P-51 PTS: Expiration Date 2/22/07

If you want to get into 3D, get a Mojo 40. I loved building this one and it flies great on standard .40 size equipment. Read about this airplane, you won't find a single complaint about it.

RE: How to take off rear bearing from OS 46FX?

That worked out great! Thanks. Heated it up to 350 degrees and hit it against a block of pine, pop goes the bearing.

How to take off rear bearing from OS 46FX?

I am in the process of rebuilding a 8 year old OS 46FX which has been a good running engine, but started to show its age. I did the crock-pot anti-freeze trick which really made the engine shine...

RE: Did I get ripped off?

Not that it changes what they did, but you are only out $22. I'd pay $22 to see a dramatic crash landing.

RE: Cheapest 3D electric backyard flyer setup?

Thanks guys, from your comments it appears that I have already selected a relatively low cost setup. I could save about $35 on the motor by buying from bphobbies. That drops the cost to $200. I...
