RE: Art-Tech 3Ch Cessna 182 RC Radio Control Plane

I have some advice and a question. I've had my Cessna for 3 years or so. The really surprising thing to me is that it flies faster than you think it should. I agree that altitude is your friend but...

RE: Honeybee King v2 tuner shop

No problem. I use single Rx AR6100's on my HBK2, HK450, and all my parkflyers but I wouldn't for a nitro plane or a heli bigger than a 450.

RE: Honeybee King v2 tuner shop

72 Mhz is fine if you don't have any issues. The reason for dual receivers on 2.4 GHz is it is more likely to get blocked or reflected. If the signal is lost momentarilly in a digital system like...

Nice looking plane. Congrats on the maiden. Are you flying at MVRCC?

RE: Honeybee King v2 tuner shop

Be careful! Even this little heli will take some skin off. It can also take out an eye so safety glasses are a must when you're testing and adjusting. I'm glad to hear you're OK and the heli is...

RE: Honeybee King v2 tuner shop

The E-flite S75 gears are the same as the 8g analog gears except for the spline gear. They're $2.99 but you can find them at any hobby shop.

RE: Honeybee King v2 tuner shop

Has anyone else worn out the balls on the blade grips? Mine have too much slop but all the others are fine. I have some belt CP grips to replace them.

RE: Honeybee King v2 tuner shop

I have the green HBK2 Rx in a Slowstick with a Futaba transmitter. Use the MFR's crystal for the Tx and GWS single conversion crystals in the Esky Rx. I think THESE are the ones but I'm not 100%...

RE: Blade CX-2

Hey, if you guys have moved on to bigger helis and honed your flying skills, dig that CX2 out of the closet and try it now. I'm flying much better in small spaces and it's much more exciting than the...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

I don't know if you guys follow RC Groups but I picked up a Thunderbird glider tonight at Hobby Lobby. Upon searching, I found THIS . A few posts later, he shows the bottom of it .

I kept...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

Wow, that's a great flying plane. Silverlit, are you paying attention! Build it and they will come. But seriously, I have a few Power Hawks still in the box. Maybe I'll do something like this with...

RE: Art-Tech 3Ch Cessna 182 RC Radio Control Plane

Been a while since I visited this thread so I thought I'd post my latest. I finally tried a 3S lipo instead of the 8s NiMH and I'm lovin' it. It's an 800 mah I had for my foamy. I've been determined...

RE: Honeybee King v2 tuner shop

I have my swash mix settings at 55's on the DX7. Maybe that's why my backflip was so slow.

RE: Blade CX-2

Watch it very carefully when charging. If it doesn't puff, it's OK to use. In the future, try to land when you notice a drop in lift.

RE: Honeybee King v2 tuner shop

Just be careful with those plastic blades. They can hurt you. They will also pull a little more current so watch the flight time so you don't puff your lipo.

RE: Honeybee King v2 tuner shop

Thanks, guys. Might have to order some servos. Sorry about the avatar comment. That's on another site. I added my picture now but I don't think it shows in posts so here's a pic. BTW, I've had a few...

RE: Honeybee King v2 tuner shop

Nice looking birds. I have that canopy too (note my avatar). I used the stickers that came with it because I thought they might help with orientation. Not sure if they do or not. Anyway, how do you...

RE: Blade CX-2

I'm in Miami Township. Upgrades are OK but not necessary. Just make sure you can handle it stock before upgrading. It hurts to break those shiny new upgrade parts. :D During the winter, The Hobby...

RE: Honeybee King v2 tuner shop

Thanks, I never thought of that. It should work cause I have a DX7. Funny thing is I have a second program already because I wanted to experiment without messing up the settings but I never used it....

RE: Honeybee King v2 tuner shop

Since wer're on the subject of head speed, I have an interesting problem to which I haven't found a solution. I have the E-Sky 3900kv, 9T pinion, plastic head, and woodies. I have a linear throttle...

RE: Blade CX-2

I would guess that most people who enjoy the CX-2 will eventually buy a CP heli but what's that got to do with the CX-2? The Mini Titan can't replace it for indoor fun. Is it safe to assume you just...

RE: Blade CX-2

I also think that oil can cause the stock swash to separate more easily. It's just a pressed fit. If it needs lubed, it probably needs replaced.

And one other mom said "made of foam" like it's a bad thing. The RC guys seem to like it.

I saw the AA Bipes at Target when I bought my Rolling Fury a few months ago. I also thought you guys might be interested in this RC Pterodactyl at TRU. I bet the birds would love it.

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

Are you talking about the elevator surfaces? If so, you can use pieces cut from foam dinner plates. You can tape them on. You'll have to get creative to figure out how to position them. Maybe some...
