Regarding the batteries, I got them on eBay from a seller called Maxbatteries. I found these on auctions for $15 per pack. The prices in the eBay store are higher then the auctions.

I got a bunch of 4000 7.2 volt packs on eBay for $15 each. They are not matched race packs but they work great for backyard bashers like my kids. I am very happy with them.

The only problems my stock shocks had were caps popping off routinely. One shaft got bent but that was after my daughter did a full throttle slam into the brick wall of my barn...ouch!
