Sig Mayhem parts

Just snagged a wing and the other bits from Sig about a month ago.

I built the plane at least 30 years ago for a friend. Power was then an HP 40 Gold Cup. Test flew it a few times...

I've had both the 1/6 full span and clipped wing Sig Cubs as well as the 1/4 scale Sig clipped wing Cub and a Kadet.

While they all fly well, you'll...

With all due respect to you and your fellow engine experts, the reason that your engine is overheating is not a lack of air intake openings in the cowl. It's a lack of air exit area.
The suggestion...

As I recall, Top Flite was absorbed by the Hobbico/Tower group and now effectively killed off by the Horizon group.

Fat chance Hobbico would license Sig to produce the stuff they own to compete...

Another SSE update.

Put the balance on the suggested location, 3 1/2" behind the wing LE, middle of the spar.

Added 50 grams of nose weight beneath the forward mounted engine to achieve that.

I agree with outrider.

Use the Tamiya stuff and you'll be done with it - the canopy that is, which will turn out to be junk. Had the same experience years ago.

And in the end, just looks like...

one more Somethin' Extra

Can't have too many of these.

Very nice flyer. Reminds me of my large Sig Mayhem with an OS 120 AX.

Only difference is that this plane is a bit smaller.

Oddly enough, it came out quite tail...

My Somethin Extra color scheme calls for a green tinted canopy. Not a painted canopy.
