RE: Locking rear Diff ?

Mac, If you're cornering with a .26 engine, I really don't think you want to lock your diff. In fact, you probably don't want to do anything to the rear, let it slip as much as it needs to give you...

RE: What nitro car can go reverse???

Nobody said it can't be done, they said it usually isn't because the tranny takes up a lot of weight and space. That is a 1/7th chassis, which is quite a big bigger than your average 1/10 nitro...

RE: REVO OPTIDRIVE

Wow I didn't know that Traxxas gave out their formula to do-it-yourselfers. I'll have to call them up so I can mix my own fuel too. You got rooked with that claim, but retuning will probably cure the...

RE: Trottlecut on DX-7

Its a little late coming, but yes you can do this if you don't like using the throttle trim and autorecovery method.

There's a video on it by Finless at Helifreak Video Link ->How to set up a...

RE: New Hitec gyro and servo

It's available now if you search for it. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXTRC7&P=ML

As for reports, I don't have one yet. It's on order for my mini-titan though. It will match...

RE: HG5000 Availability

Thanks Mike. I guess that's the way it goes with the RC industry, everything that gets released seems to have this huge wait time after they start advertising it. The new 2008 Dodge Stratus.......

RE: leak in engine

Exhaust or carbspit:
The exhaust spits out oil... it gets blown all over everything.
Changing throttle settings can change the pressure inside the crankcase (not the cylinder) and can cause small...

HG5000 Availability

Good morning Mike, hope everything's going well in the sunny south.

Is there any information available on the ship date for this Gyro/Servo set yet? The servo still looks to be the best...

RE: Bad fuel?

The greyish goo was water in the fuel. Glow fuel sucks water from the air at an astonishing rate. Here's something worth reading about glow fuels. http://members.aol.com/bentleyflyers/aboutfuel.html

RE: Flourecent colored decals or reflective tape

Check with any auto-body shops around. You may find some automotive trim in the colors you want.

RE: Blade Grips?

If you have a hard time finding Dielectric grease, be aware that it goes by many different names. I found it in Canadian Tire marked as Spark Plug grease. [sm=what_smile.gif] If you can't find any,...

RE: RAPTOR 50 info needed

Leave your TR servo where it is. There's no need to waste the time and money to move it to the boom if its under the canopy now. The only reason its on the boom on the Titan is because they put a...

RE: Need a little tuning help please

Thanks BH. I've balanced the blades and such so that's probably what it is, not a lot I can do about it, like you say.

The engine has been consistent so far. I'll see how it goes when I try and...

RE: Need a little tuning help please

I'll check my dampers, but I did lube the crap out of them when I put them in. It seems fine once it has spooled up, its at about ohh maybe 300RPM when its spooling down that it starts to dance. I...

Need a little tuning help please

I maidened my Titan this weekend. Everything went great, came off the ground nicely, actually did a 10 sec stint with no right hand before I chickened out as it was drifting forward slowly. But, I...

RE: XPS in Hitec transmitters

I wonder if that same problem would make the Spektrum module's antenna cable too short. Anyone have any experience with this? Since Hitec is seeming to be pretty mute on the Corona, I may have to...

RE: Using 490T gyro with Eclipse TX?

I'm not positive about your gyro, but most should be powered on in HH mode. As you spool up, if the chopper rotates, the gyro will automatically try and return it to the orientation that you powered...

RE: Using 490T gyro with Eclipse TX?

A little note that I don't think is mentioned there. The EPA for channel 4 (Rudder) can generally be used to set your piroette rate, lower it to slow the speed that your heli rotates at. Never use...

RE: XPS in Hitec transmitters

So if I am reading this correctly, the DSM2 Air Module for Futaba that Spektrum makes will work with my Eclipse radio? Spektrum tech support said no, but then they also said the module case design...

RE: Using 490T gyro with Eclipse TX?

How you set your gyro up depends on what you want to do. You can have your gyro change with flight mode by plugging it into channel 5 on the Rx and using the "GYRO" settings in your radio for each...

RE: HG-5000 Gyro and HSG-8053MG servo

So is there any news on when the HG5000 combo will be available? Are they shipping to stores yet to meet the "mid-October" estimate?

RE: Align RCE-B6N BEC Users?

Thanks for the info BH. So, even though I shudder at the thought of putting Align parts on my Raptor, I guess I'll order one up. :P

RE: Align RCE-B6N BEC Users?

Hmmm seems that there's a new version coming out the RCE-B6T (a little info here, not much though) that is more resistant to fuel and such. BH, you ever have problems with fuel on yours?

Here's...

RE: Align RCE-B6N BEC Users?

Glad to hear you're so happy with it. I was looking at them yesterday contemplating ordering one for my Titan, which runs Hitec digital servos. They were a little hard to find information on, seems...
