WW1 Roundels

I have covered a 1/4 scale ww1 aircraft with Coverite fabric, and would like to paint the roundels onto the wing, rather than using vinyl decals or whatever.
Anyone have suggestions as to what I...

SD-10G charging

Can I use a different charger (other than the one which comes with the radio) to charge my TX?
I have a Hobbico Accu-cycle that I have used with other transmitters in the past, and I was hoping...

Contact the Canadian r/c yacht association at http://crya.ca/

I'm pretty sure there is a club in Halifax.

RE: Is the thunder ac6 known to be slow?

It could be that your charger is limited to 50w max, as many are. So, with a 11v pack, the charger likely can't reach 1C current (5 amps for a 5000mah pack). This causes a slowdown. Also, most of...

Pittman motor

Picked up a Dumas/Pittman 12v motor for my boat. Can someone tell me if I need to solder some capacitors to this motor to reduce the RFI?

RE: Stevens Edge 540 ""NICE""

Scan the Stevens Aero site - I believe he sells the Hacker A30-16M (the recommended motor for the Edge) at a very good price.

RE: Bristol Beaufighter

Is the Beau built from plans or a kit? Are you using LiPolys or round cells?

Inverted 4-stroke

Where should the center of the fule tank be located, in relation to the needle valve on an inverted Saito 100? My new ARF pattern plane requires an inverted engine, and permits a fair bit of latitude...

RE: zdz40 sportsman

The "sportsman" version of the ZDZ40 apparently uses a reed valve, while the regular version uses a rotary valve on the intake. Anyone know if these differences add up to better/worse performance or...

zdz40 sportsman

Would this engine (ZDZ 40 Sportsman) be a good choice for my first try at gas engines? I'm not into 3D or any other extremes, just want a reliable gasser for sport flying a 11-12 lb airframe.

CGM Sukhoi

Does anyone know if the SU-26 kit being offered by the "new" Carl Goldberg Products company has the LG affixed to the fuselage, hopefully, rather than to the wing as in the original version?

1/4 Aviatik D1 Berg

Try Hannan's bookstore www.hrunway.com
He sells a lot of the Windsok publications on ww1 aircraft, and there is an issue devoted to the Berg D1 which may still be available.

Sure Cycle - How to know when charging completed?

Most radio systems are using 600mah or 700 mah batteries in the TX and RX. So, for these, use the 50ma charge setting on your Sure Cycle, and give the packs a nice overnight charge.

Many people...

Sure Cycle - How to know when charging completed?

It is no different than the charger that came with you radio. So, the normal 14 hour overnight charge is what you are aiming for.

The cycler is simply an excellent tool to let you know the...

1/4 Scale WW1 German Pilot

I believe that Proctor sells a nicely finished full-body pilot, but don't know if they have just the bust.

Sopwith Camel kits??

The only 1/4 Camel I've come across is the one kitted by Mick Reeves in the U.K. Sells for about 350 pounds, as I recall, but is contest-quality scale.

If you could put any engine in a Goldberg Sukhoi, what would it be?

I'd be inclined to go with a Super Tigre 2300 which should have ample power to pull the Suky through any maneuver one would wish.
