RE: Official Hobby Zone "Super Cub" Thread

I respectfully disagree. I have done CONTROLLED inverted flight multiple times, with witnesses, on the stock setup - meaning as is from HobbyZone.

RE: Official Hobby Zone "Super Cub" Thread

Hi Sinai,

No expiration date yet - it just might change hands! She'll keep on living through someone else.

As for the charger, I wouldn't trust the PZ/HZ stuff at all. Lots of false peaks...

RE: Official Hobby Zone "Super Cub" Thread

Mr Mugen has already answered, but yes.

Think of it as double the number of the battery.

900 mah battery = 1.8 rate

1400 mah = 2.8 rate

Personal preference though, I never exceed...

Hooopes,

I didn't need any tape on mine. Just took the old ones off, put the new ones on - a perfect fit!

RE: Official Hobby Zone "Super Cub" Thread

I couldn't agree more! As much as I wanted to put more money into a plane, I bought a good charger (Multiplex 5014) a little bit ago and it has been worth EVERY penny. It has charged my batteries...

That's pretty cool! One of those passes was pretty close to getting her feet wet - sure does look good swooping over the water and landing on the beach.

RE: Official Hobby Zone "Super Cub" Thread

I need to go check that store out. Do they have a good selection of parts, and other planes?

Yeah, I think the Cub will stay. It's just such a great plane!

Take care,
Mike

Nothing modded or drilled. Just unscrew the cap, take the stock ones off, slide new tires on, replace cap.....taxi grinning from ear to ear, then fly! :D

I don't have experience...

Chance,

Thanks!

Those are Dave Brown, Lite Flite, 2 1/2" wheels. I think I may have said 2 1/4" earlier, but that is incorrect.

Mike

RE: Official Hobby Zone "Super Cub" Thread

You're welcome CitaFly! It really is a better plane without the HZ electronics. I am thinking the same as you - as soon as the stock motor quits, I'll be putting a brushless motor in this plane.
